From my understanding, the poster is afraid of losing his relationship with his sister once she gets baptized into the cult.
Paul is ASSUMING he will lose the relationship.
I have known many that have kept their family relationships INTACT, despite the disfellowshipping of one party or the other.
The sister in this case obviously does NOT want to hear anything negative about the witnesses. Persisting with the negativity will more than likely damage the relationship more than just letting her exercise her right to choose whatever religion she wants to join, this case being the JW's.

What's wrong with simply trying to get someone out of a destructive, mind control cult? Why does that necessarily have to be replaced with another system of beliefs?
Look, while undermining your beliefs, at least the JW's offer you SOMETHING, right? Whether someone thinks it is truth or lie, it is a replacement for what you currently believe.

things are what they are.. everything acts according to its nature.. nothing escapes its own nature.. we cannot be other than what we are and our "choices" follow our nature.. consequently, can we not say correctly that free choice is merely our ignorance of the fact that all our actions and choices are predetermined by our nature?.

1. if you are offered either a handful of dog poop or a cold dove bar---is your "choice" really much of a choice?

2. offer a heterosexual male a night with a hot chick or a hot dude...is the outcome really "choice"?

This will mean that poor, uneducated (stupid) republicans now have a chance at living longer. I'm rethinking my support for the reforms (previously on humanitarian grounds, now on the grounds that fewer old white dumb republicans are probably better for the planet in the long run).

Paul, instead of asking those questions, why don't you tell her where she can find what she is looking for.

If you are going to try to undermine someone's heartfelt decision to serve God in a way THEY FEEL is right, the least you could do is provide the right path, the right place where they can find truth.
